  called Matt to come have a look at my toilet that I would usually have to flush twice to get everything down and he was very prompt on his time and actually called and arrived early! He did an acid flush on the toilet and in all the years of living here this toilet has never worked as great as it is working now and its an old toilet! So highly recommend Matt Ostler!

  matt was excellent. he was a hard worker, knowledgeable, honest and priced reasonably. matt replaced a 50 year old leaking toilet that other plumbers could not or would not fix saying it would be too expensive to fix and replacing it with a new toilet would probable require expensive replacement of wall the tank was attached to and under toilet floor replacement. matt said he did think there would be any damage. he told me he would replace the toilet for the price of fixing the old toilet. he replaced the toilet for the price he quoted and there was no damage to the wall or floor.

  I was referred to Drain Detectives years ago and since have never had plumbing work done by anyone else. Matt, the owner is both personable and professional. He always makes time to see to my plumbing problems within days. His extensive knowledge and experience make him the best plumber you will ever need. He always takes the time out to explain any problems I have and usually will draw on a piece of paper what the problem is and how he will fix it. He is honest about explaining potential problems too, that don't need to be fixed right away, but might have to be fixed in the future. He also, diagnoses problems so accurately, instead of just replacing parts and hope that will solve the problem, like so many others do. Whenever I have household repairs to be done, I need to get 3 bids to have the money transferred. Drain Detectives always come in the lowest. And lucky for me, not only are they very fair and honest in pricing, but also do the best work. You will never have to call another plumber after you have worked with Matt at Drain Detectives.

  Matt and his son came this morning to fix a leaking sewer pipe in my basement. As others have stated in reviews, they were on time, finished quickly, good work, and a fair price. Very courteous. I'm glad I remembered we are due for "rooter" service, because Matt gave me $75 off the usual price because it was done on the same service call. BTW check this website for drain cleaning coupon, it will save you about $50. I will use them again for plumbing problems, and if I can get a discount on their rooter service I will let them take over that annual job as well.

  Matt seems as honest and kind as they come. He came out to look at a water break that my HOA told us was our water line and that we needed to repair. He asked a few question and told us he didn’t think it was our line and that we should get a detection kit done. We referred back to our HOA on this and it ended up being the cities. I’m so grateful for the time he spent to come out and look and the honesty he gave. I would definitely recommend him.

  ATTENTION: Anyone looking for an honest, competent, no-nonsense plumber who is down-to-earth, kind, and efficient, look no further. Don't call anyone else! I am a homeowner who had a serious drain issue. I got quotes 2.5 times higher from other well known companies. Luckily we read Matt's other great reviews and called him. Problem solved.   Matt with Drain Detectives is one of the main plumbers we use for our Home Owners Associations. Drain Detectives is always prompt with timing even on after hour emergencies. We have been very stratified with his work; anywhere from sewer backups, water leaks and also complete sewer and water line replacements. Their pricing is always on point and we never receive a bill with unexpected high costs.

  My drains backed up last night and flooded my basement. I spent hours cleaning up the water. I thought that I could get a snake and fix it myself. I was wrong. I looked online for plumbers in my area and found Drain Detectives. I honestly called them because I liked their name and logo. I was quoted a reasonable price and was promised that they would be to my home within an hour. They pulled up maybe 20 minutes after the initial call. They were polite and finished the job quickly. They also cleaned up the area where they were working! I have never had that happen before. They also helped me get the snake I had rented into my car! That was above and beyond what I could expect. They didn't try to tell me that the problem was worse than it was. The price I paid was the price I was quoted!! I will never use another company for my plumbing issues. I highly recommend them!

  Dustin came the same day I called (on a Saturday), a day I would never attempt to work. My two year old boy flushed a gear shifter knob down the toilet. I had one so I could replace worn out one. Anyway, he came on time and fixed the toilet. He first attempted to fix it by going through the open toilet bowl then he remove the toilet and worked to get it from the other end. He was able to retrieve the shifter knob. He replaced the wax ring and re-installed the toilet. He checked to make sure it was flushing properly and it does just that...! We appreciate the good work at a price he quoted over the phone and charged after the work was done (it was the same amount) and a fair price.
